An elected Liberal Nationals Government will commit up to $150,000 to install security fencing around the perimeter of Albert Street Primary School.
Albert Street Primary School has suffered from a series of site issues due to a lack of security fencing including vandalism, drug and alcohol litter being left at the site over weekends and causing security concerns for the students during school hours.
Victorian students have the right to learn safely and securely. This funding provided by a Liberal Nationals Government will ensure that.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Community Safety, Edward O’Donohue:
“Gary Blackwood has listened to the Moe community after it has been consistently ignored by the Andrews Labor Government for these significant safety upgrades at Albert Street Primary.
These safety improvements will give local parents the confidence that their kids will always be safe in the school yard and only a Liberal Nationals Government will maintain that.”
Comments attributable to Member for Narracan, Gary Blackwood:
“In Labor’s so-called ‘Education State’, Albert Street Primary School has been completely ignored.
I’ve fought long and hard for Moe to get its fair share of funding to develop much needed safety measures here at Albert Street Primary School.
Albert Street Primary School has been overlooked by the Andrews Labor Government for this funding for far too long, and I’m pleased we can right this wrong.”
