The Liberal Nationals will build a new West Gippsland Hospital on the Greenfields site at the corner of Princes Way and Lardners Track.
Opposition Leader, Matthew Guy visited the site today with Member for Narracan, Gary Blackwood where a Liberal Nationals Government would build the West Gippsland Hospital.
Every Victorian deserves access to quality healthcare and building this new hospital will ensure that people in the region continue to get quality healthcare close to home.
This project is not just about today, it’s about the future.
Daniel Andrews’ failure to take action and build this new hospital has left regional Victorians disadvantaged and without the same healthcare as those in the city.
Only a Liberal Nationals Government will build the new hospital and commence with detailed planning for construction – including detailed work on the timing and cost.
We will also work with the Federal Government to ensure their funding and support for the Hospital.
Victoria is growing at around 150,000 people every year and that’s why we have established a Population Taskforce to tackle the pressing issue of rapid population growth head-on, embarking on a long-term strategy for Victoria’s future.
Making sure that we have a plan for health, education and emergency services is a vital part of our population policy. Building the West Gippsland Hospital is about planning for regional Victoria’s future health needs.
