Member for Narracan Gary Blackwood has today encouraged local sporting groups and community organisations in the Narracan electorate to apply for funding through the Community Sports Infrastructure Fund which is now open.
Mr Blackwood said the program had been very popular in the past and helped local sport and community groups deliver the best facilities possible for local participants.
'Sport plays a critical role in regional communities and through this program clubs can receive the support and investment they need to continue to deliver quality facilities at a local level.
'Groups across Narracan have benefited from this program previously and I encourage any group wishing to plan, build or improve new or existing facilities to apply for these grants,' Mr Blackwood said.
